Heritage biscuit mix with finished biscuits

Three Biscuits- One Mix

I have to admit, I’m a little frugal so I love to find something that has many uses. Versatility is key!

I also often find myself in a hurry… I never pictured myself being more rushed in retirement but that's what happens when you start a business in your sixties. At times, quick and easy calls my name.

We're a VERY small team here at Sunrise Flour Mill. Other flour companies have hundreds of employees, and endless resources for different types of projects. Not us. It’s Darrold, me, and our 15 trusted and beloved employees. With such a tight knit team, we are able to put a lot of time, attention, and care into the development of new products.

When it came to creating the biscuit mix- two things remained important to us.

This product is made with nothing but the BEST ingredients. There are plenty of biscuit mixes on the market with too many ingredients (many of which I won't eat) - this would not be one of them. We wanted to make the gold standard of biscuit mixes.

This mix would remain as versatile as it was delicious. We would add only the necessary ingredients for a delicious biscuit with endless possibilities for customization.

We successfully accomplished both tasks with the Heritage Biscuit Mix. If you haven't tried it yet- what are you waiting for?!

To get your wheels turning- here are three of my favorite ways to enjoy the Biscuit Mix

Strawberry Shortcake- Add a Tbsp of sugar to the mix, top the finished product with strawberries and whipped cream. Holy smokes you’ll be impressed by how something so simple can wow you.

Cheddar Chive Biscuits- Add a cup of shredded cheddar and a handful of fresh chopped chives to the mix. A savory delight that pairs perfectly with your dinner

Garlic and Herb Biscuits- You know me and my love for the herbs in my garden. I love running out there and grabbing a handful of parsley, rosemary, thyme, and/or dill. I chop them up along with a few cloves of fresh garlic, and add it to the mix. So simple but SO tasty.

Honestly, it's hard to stop at just three ideas…the list goes on and on (cinnamon chip biscuits, maple bacon biscuits, tomato feta biscuits, etc.)

I would LOVE to hear how you are customizing your biscuits! Please comment below! And if you prefer them just the way they are, that works great too. No wrong answers :)

All for now,
