The best pizza flour we have used. I use Bobby Flays recipe from Food Network and it's amazing. We cook it in the oven on a pizza stone.. 450 degrees for 12 minutes; the dough is perfectly crunchy on the outside but chewy on the inside.

Love this flour!! This is the pizza flour and I bought it thinking it would be a little lighter than the bread flour but it is not. It is however still as excellent as the bread flour and gives a more dense bread. It is so hearty and filling. Love it! My son who has been gluten-free for years can now eat bread again with absolutely no adverse effects. I never used to be a bread baker but have taken it up and have not made a bad loaf yet! Thank you!!

Amazing flour! Made the most beautiful pizza dough. I added a couple of ounces of the whole wheat flour as well. It behaved the same if not better then an Italian 00 flour. Would definitely recommend.

    I love talking about flour and Sunrise is the best. I have all types and have educated family and friends on when to use which. Just yesterday I gave some pies to a friend (lemon and banana) and she remarked why is her pie crust never as flaky as mine. Well…. She thought she needed to use a high gluten flour when the opposite is true. Gave her some pastry flour. She is so excited by the results she has now bought all your flour.

    I have a recipe for pizza crust that I like to use with this flour. It has a nice flavor and we like to eat that whole crust, instead of leaving it as waste. I use it to make calzones, which is essentially a pizza with the crust wrapped around the toppings and then baked to eat like a turnover.

    I followed a pizza recipe from the NYTimes that ordinarily calls for Italian 00 flour. The Heritage Pizza flour was perfect for this recipe. I made a delicious pizza topped with arugula from our garden. I felt like a professional chef as I stretched it to fit the pan. With the second ball of dough, I made breadsticks to go with our pasta tonight. What a hit..dipped in EVOO, they were awesome!

    I was so excited to finally be able to place an order for one of your flours. It was hard to choose which one and finally settled on the pizza flour. You can imagine my excitement when it arrived. I wanted to make pizza for supper if it arrived early enough and it did.
    The dough was wonderful to work with and despite what I thought was a very small amount of yeast in your recipe it rose beautiful. The pizza turned out great, and tasted awesome (the texture was wonderful chewy with a crisp outside)!! Then came the big test…..how would my system react to it ? Typically after eating wheat products I get terrible indigestion but that didn’t happen with your flour, I was so happy. I have plans to explore more of your products and methods of use. Now I can try to make sourdough again. Please don’t sell out to a bigger company.

    This makes great pizza. I make 6 inch personal size, parbake then freeze. To bake just put on toppings and bake at 400’ for ten minutes. Hmmm good!

    Had a dinner party and served bread made from the Heritage Pizza Flour. Our goal was to recreate a bread that we had overseas that we ate everyday and it 1.) didn’t make us sick and 2.) didn’t make us fat.
    So we served this to 3 guests with ulcerative colitis. My husband and I don’t eat much regular American bread either because the glycosphate bothers us. But all 5 of us ate our fill of bread and we ALL felt great the next day! This is a breakthrough product for us. We can have bread again! THANK YOU!

    I first had Heritage Pizza Flour that I ordered and picked up at Mill City Farmers Market over a year ago. It makes the best pizza dough ever. This is why I had to order again.

    Great pizza and makes great bread too. I found one of your old blog posts from 2012 on internet.
    Pizza dough recipe:
    16 oz Sunrise Pizza Flour
    10 oz tepid water ( about 64% hydration)
    1 Tbsp Fresh Yeast
    1 Tbsp Sea Salt
    when I couldn’t find the pizza recipe when I ordered. It’s different then the one you have posted now, but it works well for bread when I out Heritage Blend.
    I happen to use rosemary sea salt for all. Love them all.
    Pancake mix is also good. I thin it up for little silver dollar pancakes. Love it.

    No reason to say anything other than this is a great flour for pizzas. Blended with wheat or alone – works great!

    I have a wood-fired oven in my kitchen and have been making pizzas for years. I’ve explored a number of artisan flours for crusts, and this is the best I’ve found. At 900 degrees, you need to reduce water to 60% baker’s ratio. Also, a long, slow proof with less yeast to start with produces better flavor. Thank you Sunrise!!!!

    Love this flour!! This is the pizza flour and I bought it thinking it would be a little lighter than the bread flour but it is not. It is however still as excellent as the bread flour and gives a more dense bread. It is so hearty and filling. Love it! My son who has been gluten-free for years can now eat bread again with absolutely no adverse effects. I never used to be a bread baker but have taken it up and have not made a bad loaf yet!     Love the taste of the dough. Made grilled pizza on the gas grill and was delicious. Very stretchy and crunchy dough like that of a pizza oven in a nice pizzeria! No bloating afterward for any of us especially my son with autism who is gluten and dairy free due to digestion issues.     This is a wonderful flour with a great flavor that I’ve used for all sorts of breads with great success. It is nice to have a grain that has not been altered.     So….it was with great fear since I haven’t had gluten since 2005, and have a pretty profound reaction within a few hours of consuming gluten, that I tried the pasta and flour. I started with one very small portion of pasta. Woohoo, no reaction at all! I am totally sold on all the pasta and flour products! I have ordered and used almost all the products. So nice that I can cook/bake one meal, one loaf of bread, one of everything that my family and I can enjoy. I’ve shared the pasta with some of my other gluten sensitive friends.     I’ve found the turkey wheat to make a first rate pizza dough. it offers both a lovely flavor and great performance.

    my favorite dough is a sourdough high-hydration dough (90-100% hydration). the turkey wheat is fine at handling that level of hydration, and responds well to natural yeast. the final product comes out light and airy with a more subtle flavor than hybridized wheat and a slightly tanner color. good crust bubbles along the rim are easy to achieve, and are greatly appreciated by the eaters.

    so far, my only regret is that I have not been able to convince either of the gluten-intolerant people in my family to try it. their natural reactions to anything with gluten is fear and distress. all the testimonials in the world do not seem to get them to change. that part is a work in progress.

    Normally I would say I couldn’t justify the premium pricing of this flour, but I’m already on my second order during lockdown! We primarily use it for neapolitan style pizza, with an 8 hour development time, but I actually used it for cinnamon rolls the other day and loved how they turned out! I’m hooked on the slightly nutty taste, and brown speckled dough this produces. Delicious and easy to work with.

    Used for the first time tonight. My recipe called for a 1:1 ratio of pizza and all-purpose flour. I used heritage pizza and the whole wheat flours. I baked in a cast iron skillet and the pizza turned out better than I expected.

    I learned about Sunrise at the MN State Fair last summer, bought some of the ultra fine whole wheat and pizza dough flour at the Mill City Farmers Market, and decided to up my pizza game today.
