    I learned about Sunrise at the MN State Fair last summer, bought some of the ultra fine whole wheat and pizza dough flour at the Mill City Farmers Market, and decided to up my pizza game today. This flour made a thin and crisp but tender crust, great flavor! So much better than all my previous attempts with all purpose flour. I’m never going back!!

    Normally I would say I couldn’t justify the premium pricing of this flour, but I’m already on my second order during lockdown! We primarily use it for neapolitan style pizza, with an 8 hour development time, but I actually used it for cinnamon rolls the other day and loved how they turned out! I’m hooked on the slightly nutty taste, and brown speckled dough this produces. Delicious and easy to work with.

    Just made homemade pizza for Dad’s Day and the crust and the whole complete pie was beyond amazing!!! Loved the taste of the crust..usually I pass my crust top to my Husband, however not today!!!! The photo is of the pizza made before going into the oven!

    I’ve found the turkey wheat to make a first rate pizza dough. it offers both a lovely flavor and great performance.

    my favorite dough is a sourdough high-hydration dough (90-100% hydration). the turkey wheat is fine at handling that level of hydration, and responds well to natural yeast. the final product comes out light and airy with a more subtle flavor than hybridized wheat and a slightly tanner color. good crust bubbles along the rim are easy to achieve, and are greatly appreciated by the eaters.

    so far, my only regret is that I have not been able to convince either of the gluten-intolerant people in my family to try it. their natural reactions to anything with gluten is fear and distress. all the testimonials in the world do not seem to get them to change. that part is a work in progress.

    Just made homemade pizza for Dad’s Day and the crust and the whole complete pie was beyond amazing!!! Loved the taste of the crust..usually I pass my crust top to my Husband, however not today!!!! The photo is of the pizza made before going into the oven!

    This flour made the best pizza dough I have made in a long time. Being from New York originally, I have high standards! As well, my gluten sensitivity was silent! I highly recommend this pizza flour! The whole concept of “heritage” sure worked for me!

    Normally I would say I couldn’t justify the premium pricing of this flour, but I’m already on my second order during lockdown! We primarily use it for neapolitan style pizza, with an 8 hour development time, but I actually used it for cinnamon rolls the other day and loved how they turned out! I’m hooked on the slightly nutty taste, and brown speckled dough this produces. Delicious and easy to work with.

    Used for the first time tonight. My recipe called for a 1:1 ratio of pizza and all-purpose flour. I used heritage pizza and the whole wheat flours. I baked in a cast iron skillet and the pizza turned out better than I expected.

    I learned about Sunrise at the MN State Fair last summer, bought some of the ultra fine whole wheat and pizza dough flour at the Mill City Farmers Market, and decided to up my pizza game today.
