    My first purchase of Sunrise Mill flours included fine rye, coarse rye, Heritage Blend Wheat, and 7-Grain Pancake Mix. I am so pleased. I’m a T2 Diabetic who desperate;u misses bread. I’ve made both a rye sourdough starter and a wheat starter. I just made my second loaf of sourdough rye bread and it turned out beautifully. They rye sourdough does not raise my blood sugar levels! I’ve used discard starter for blueberry muffins. And my husband loves the pancake/waffle mix – so easy and so delicious. Thanks, Sunrise. Your customer service was amazing, and I’ll be ordering again soon.

    Great tasting flour. I use a combination of this, course ground and bread blend when I make sourdough rye bread. I also use the fine ground rye flour along with the bread blend for feeding my sourdough starter. I have a much stronger starter since I began adding some rye flour to it!

    Used the rye flour in equal measure with white and whole grain flours from Sunrise Mill. Threw in some pumpkin and sunflower seeds and did a no knead bread, which ages in the refrigerator for 18 hours. It was wonderful!

    I have just started baking bread after a very long hiatus. Really like the flavors these grains give the bread.

    I have already made 3 loaves using this flour (50% pumpernickle…coarse grind…with 50% bread flour). The loaves are wonderful and absolutely delicious. I will now be making the same loaf with 50% pumpernickle and 50% sonoran.

    Arrived quickly and well packaged. The product is wonderful esp when mixed with other flours. I blend it with Sonoran and bread flour. (200 g sonoran whole grain, 200 grams pumpernickle, 150 gr organic bread flour, 50 gr organic flaxmeal, 14 gr barley malt flour…all @ 80% total hydration) results…yummy, and light.

    Fresh & very coarsely ground, but still perfectly usable as a 25% mix-in for a high-hydration whole-spelt loaf I made. The resulting bread had a nice hint of rye flavor, and the complexity of taste that I wanted, but didn’t really feel any heavier than my usual whole-wheat bread. So, in other words, you don’t have to use this to make only pumpernickel (though I’ll try that too, one day).
