About Banneton Bread Proofing Basket with Liner
These rattan baskets come in two sizes: an 8” round, or a 9” oval. They are must-haves for proofing your bread, especially if you like a high-hydration dough. These bannetons will give your dough the structure it needs to maintain its shape while proofing and getting it ready to bake. They come with linen liners which are optional to use.
What is Heritage wheat?
Heritage wheat was the predominant wheat grown in America up until the 1950’s. Many people find it more digestible than modern wheat. Its long deep root system allowed it to survive the Dust Bowl, and gave the Midwest its famous nickname “The a Bread Basket”. Heritage wheat was a staple in every household. The history of it can be tracked to biblical times and has been responsible for nourishing generations. It was grown before the introduction of intensive scientific plant breeding. This wheat is experiencing a resurgence.

It's too narrow and short. Sorry, but don't like it.
Banneton Proofing Basket
The basket is well made and the smaller size is what I was looking for. Great order and deliver!
Great little basket, loved the shape of the bread.
Love these baskets - get perfect loaves. My favorite size and shape.
These are a must have for proofing sourdough bread. The oblong size makes them easy to fit into a gallon size zipper plastic bag if delaying rise until next day in the frig. Good design and quality.
I love this basket!
Bread Proofing Basket - happy I made the purchase
Used the smaller basket and worked well for a 2 1/2 cup flour dough. Released easily after 1st raising. Also purchased the oval basket and will try that size when making up bread dough
Love my Banneton!
I'm new to using a Banneton for proofing but wow, it is fantastic! I would definitely recommend trying it!

I’m a newbie to sourdough baking and am loving all the products Sunrise Flour Mill has to offer!
Bought as gift, was surprised for a proofing bowl how small these bowls are…. Maybe for small loaf size???
Beautiful bread baskets. Looking forward to using to make sourdough bread very soon!
Great products. Ship quickly. Quick customer service response.
Have not had success in forming my dough into this banneton. Will try again.
The oval banneton was smaller than expected. My fault for not checking the dimensions.
I am still learning to master the use of the basket. I think the round basket/oval would serve more useful than the loaf basket. Overall, it will be a good tool to have as I expand my baking experience.
