This flour, milled from organic Turkey Red Heritage Wheat Berries, is a fine, dazzlingly white all purpose flour. The color comes from the natural white color of the wheat's endosperm, not from bleaching or bromating. Because this is a heritage wheat, it contains a type of gluten that many people with gluten intolerance find to be more digestible. It works exceptionally well for everything – bread, pastries, cookies, cakes, pie crust, pasta, pizza crust – a truly all purpose flour.

I have made all my family’s bread for years, I used to make gluten free because the commercial gf bread is so awful. I tried Sunrise flours two years ago and will continue to use them. I don’t weigh or measure the ingredients except for the liquid and the salt, 1t per cup liquid. The size of the loaf is dependent on the amount of liquid used, I just add the flour to get the right consistency. I don’t measure my starter either, just add approximately 3/4 cup for a very large loaf like the one shown. Turns out every time! Great service, fast delivery.

Also, I used this flour in a wedding cake for a customer who was gluten-free and she was 100% satisfied and had no reaction whatsoever. She said it was the best cake she'd ever eaten!

A versatile, high quality flour. I’ve used it to bake everything…desserts, cookies, bars, even bread, and it will make whatever you’re cooking even better. This is my go-to all purpose flour. This is what wheat flour should look like, and smell like. It has a great fragrance! I did a comparison between the smell of regular big name all-purpose flour and Sunrise Flour Mill's Heritage White Flour, and the Sunrise flour smells wonderful, natural like you want your kitchen to smell. The big name brand (which i threw away btw) didn't smell like anything, just blah. I am a Sunrise customer for life!

Amazing all purpose flour! It is expensive so I don’t use it for everything. You really can see the difference! The breads rise higher and have a longer shelf life. The texture of the bread is perfect. You can see in the picture that I didn’t get the 1 loaf sealed well.

Anyway, the flour I received from Sunshine is nothing like that and more than exceeded my expectations, and I've never looked back. Not only does my cracked wheat bread turn out well, but all the other types of bread I've been baking since COVID hit turn out well and taste so good that I have no plans to use anything else from now on.

The heritage white flour is fantastic. I couldn’t be happier with the results. I made a sourdough garlic pecorino artisan bread using 510 g of Sunrise Mill White Flour and 200 g freshly milled whole Red Fife. Loaf turned out amazing! I also used it in my sourdough banana bread and it turned out great as well.

Sunrise Heritage Flour helped me to create a beautiful loaf of bread that is absolutely delicious & easier to digest. No tummy issues, anxiety, extreme ADHD symptoms or pain have occurred in any family member as can happen with plain store bought flour & gluten products & we've been using it for weeks. Though we didnt take photos we've used this in all our home baking, no longer ingesting premade products with all the preservatives, settling for gluten products or the extra carbs & lack of flavor in gluten free products. Unfortunately after testing and eating some off and on for a week I started having issues of inflammation- lower intestinal pain, gas, eczema etc. I am truly celiac and have many other allergies as well. It is beautiful flour if a thing such as flour can be beautiful! I've used it so far in combination with SFM whole wheat or medium rye in sourdough bread and it bakes up nicely. Lightning fast delivery, too! It will be my flour of choice from here on.

Loving this flour. My husband was diagnosed with celiac. My baking has suffered since accommodating his restrictions. So far I have made the maple cookies, he ate them (a few at a time) for 3 days. No problems. Making biscuits right now and oh my! Rising wonderfully. Hopefully he can eat a biscuit or 2 also with no issues. Delivery was fast and bags seal well.

I have a small bakery and have always used King Arthur AP flour. However, I baked a cupcake order with this flour and the end result was a much better cupcake! Tge texture was soft, yet firm enough to hold up under buttercream decorations and it yielded the perfect crumb. I have been really anxious to try a wheat flour that would, hopefully, not make me sick. I have been wheat intolerant for most of my life, known about it for 30 years and total gluten intolerant for over 10. I made this cake for my birthday this month and have had some symptoms but really very little. A bite of something used to create brain fog, joint pain and could send me to bed for days. The few, mild symptoms I had could have easily been from the sugar, the eggs or the chocolate. Mostly, I ate this flour and still feel human instead of like an alien. Next time I will try something with less allergens to see how often I can eat this. I am SO grateful to you all for making this available!

I am so glad I found Sunrise Flour Mill! I have been GF for a few years now but find I can eat items made with this flour if I don't over-do. Using the Sunrise Mill wheat flour we were able to reintroduce gluten into our family. My wife has a gluten intolerance that affects arthritis and breathing, specifically sleep apnea. We tried a couple of different things with the Sunrise Mill flour and she was able to tolerate it. It's a delicious flour and cooks up nicely. It has a very nice flavor and handles nicely. This flour is my go to flour now for all my baking needs. Right now I am mainly focusing on the sourdough bread that is amazing, using the recipe provided by Sunrise Flour Mill. My family loves this bread so I am making two loaves a week and I don't buy other breads. I am now freezing a part, and the bread is delicious even out of the freezer. My friends are now envious. I am buying 2 packets of the large size bags now. I am afraid to run out.

I can't even begin to express my joy and disbelief! After years of suffering horrific effects from gluten, I was 7 years gluten free. We all know it: cardboard bread, difficulty eating out, constant fear of exposure. My daughter and I both read the book Eat Wheat by Dr. John Doullard and with trepidation, followed most of his protocols and found Sunrise Heritage Wheat. Life Changing! My daughter came home from college before Thanksgiving and she was in pain...constantly crying...stomach cramps...she was miserable. We had two months to figure it out. She saw a gastroenterologist and got a ton of testing. And I started baking her sunrise bread. I saw an ad, read the testimony of the owners and thought “let’s start with the quality of our flour”. What a difference. I have my happy healthy daughter back. She knows if she “cheats “ with other flours or gluten, she’ll be in pain. I have not been able to eat any wheat products for many years and I am able to digest this flour with no side effects. I’ve baked cookies , made yeast bread and used it in batters and flouring meats for deep frying and sautéing. I now believe that it is the chemicals and GMOs that my system could no longer tolerate in store bought flours and bakery products. I’m 67 and have been baking all my life. I stopped years ago and now look forward to making my favorite foods again. I have this flour, the whole wheat and the bread flour and love all 3. Lifesaver!❤️

The shipping was fast and customer service is fantastic. An actual person answers the phone and will answer any questions you have. Along with the bread flour, this makes a gorgeous sourdough bread. As for gluten intolerance, I feel that I still react and can't go crazy eating lots of goods baked with this flour. I can eat a little bit a day. It upsets my digestion just as ordinary flour does.

I decided to try Sunrise Mills Heritage flours (white and bread flour) to see if my sensitivity to wheat and gluten would be impacted. Typically, traditional store-bought or homemade breads with standard or even organic flours would create upper digestive issues with me, resulting in heartburn. So far, after consuming half of a homemade sourdough bread loaf made with Sunrise Mills Bread Flour (and with a starter that was fed Sunrise Mills white flour), I can report having no digestive upset. I wouldn’t understand why, but my sourdough bread made with Sunrise Mills has a better chew than the sourdough loaves I’ve made in the past, also. I look forward to trying the SM pasta next!

I have a friend from Sweden who struggled with her baking here in the USA. Her belief is that the flour is dead. I hadn’t thought much about it until I read about Sunrise Flour Mill’s products. I then baked buns for Thanksgiving and it was a joy to watch my wife take that first "real" bite of a home-baked bun with flour in several years. Finally, I made the leap with sourdough. After making my own starter with your flour, my first two loaves came out of the oven this morning. It was so fun to watch my two kids share a piece of warm baked bread with my wife. This has been a rewarding few weeks of baking and I know it would not be as good without having found Sunrise. Thank you!

I give this flour 10 stars! It is delicious! I've been a gluten free baker for 9 years struggling to get the right performance from GF flours and only one has truly come thru. The flour blends from GFJules. This is my first loaf of REAL bread and I was so excited to give this flour a test that I made every beginner's mistake possible but was able to correct them along the way. It came our perfect. Yay!!! So far, this flour has not caused any symptomatic flare-ups in either me or my wife (joint pain, skin soreness, brain fog, lethargy, bloating, gas, etc....). We are not celiac but she's more sensitive than I to gluten but so far so good (fingers crossed). It's sooooo great to FINALLY enjoy bread and baked goods again that last longer than three days before starting to either turn to sand or breads that must be frozen the next day and then toasted - yuck. The texture (crumb and chew) and rise that this flour produces in simple recipes is awesome! I'm now quite anxious to try the other Sunrise flours. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS AMAZING PRODUCT!

I really love this flour! I have not been diagnosed as gluten intolerant, but I tried it because I have begun to notice that some “regular” wheat products really mess with my digestive system. I have no problems with this flour. It bakes absolutely BEAUTIFUL products from breads to cakes to cookies. I have tried the heritage white, whole wheat, rye, and bread flour. It’s all fantastic!

So yum ...used my no knead 18hrs fermented recipe. .we sliced it and froze it ..thaw out on counter just as fresh as day made .very rustic taste but like this best. Also used this flour to make sugar free cinnamon rolls ...wow they were amazing ..and froze and thawed well too. My hubby and I are keto lifestyle for 3 yrs and we ate this bread in moderation and not often and we still maintained our weight, energy levels etc. this is THE best thank you Marty and Darrold for your efforts for all of us.

    I have made all my family’s bread for years, I used to make gluten free because the commercial gf bread is so awful. I tried Sunrise flours two years ago and will continue to use them.
    I don’t weigh or measure the ingredients except for the liquid and the salt, 1t per cup liquid. The size of the loaf is dependent on the amount of liquid used, I just add the flour to get the right consistency. I don’t measure my starter either, just add approximately 3/4 cup for a very large loaf like the one shown. Turns out every time!

    First off, I LOVE all the flours from SFM!! A suggestion would to also package the 25# flour bags in the same material as the 5# & 10# flour bags. I didn’t have any issues with flour leaking out in shipment. However, I don’t have a large enough resealable container to put 25# in and it would be convenient if the 25# was in the same resealable bags as the 5# & 10# bags. Otherwise I love how the flours bake up, taste, perform, and easy to digest. As I use up my existing inventory of flours, I am replenishing with SFM flours. I love also how it’s all grown and milled right here I’m the USA.

    The flour is fantastic! Fluffy, soft and produces the best baked good. I use it to make pizza dough, muffins, cakes, ,cupcakes, biscuits, scones, etc., and it ALWAYS produces a perfect product. Also, I used this flour in a wedding cake for a customer who was gluten-free and she was 100% satisfied and had no reaction whatsoever. She said it was the best cake she’d ever eaten!

    I LOVE this flour because I can now enjoy dishes and desserts that include wheat. As usual, this shipment arrived when expected with no issue. One disappointment with this shipment is that I expected that the 25lb bag I ordered this time would come in the thick, zip-close bag that is shown- same as how the 10lb bag comes. I wasn’t prepared for this and needed to purchase canisters for storage.
    Otherwise, this is the same wonderful product I’ve been enjoying for a couple of years now.

    Quality, great flavor and customer service are the hallmarks of SFM. I had been baking gluten-free for almost ten years when my wife, who is gluten sensitive, found this mill and suggested that we try it. We’ve never regretted one second after discovering the joy of using real flour again.

    I’ve NEVER had a disappointing result using SFM products whether it’s pizza, pastry, rye, yeasted bread or sourdough. I use them all including their hard wheat berries to make cracked wheat breads and malt powders.

    This is my go-to all purpose flour. This is what wheat flour should look like, and smell like. It has a great fragrance! I did a comparison between the smell of regular big name all-purpose flour and Sunrise Flour Mill’s Heritage White Flour, and the Sunrise flour smells wonderful, natural like you want your kitchen to smell. The big name brand (which i threw away btw) didn’t smell like anything, just blah. I am a Sunrise customer for life!

    I’ve been trying for the past year to get my daughter-in-law, who has problems with gluten, to try my sourdough bread made with Heritage White Flour. She recently asked me for a few slices to try. Soon thereafter I received a call asking if I could make her a loaf. I gladly did. A week later she was talking with a friend, who also has problems with gluten, about the bread. My daughter-in-law gave her several slices and within a few days her friend was asking if I could make her a loaf. Yesterday, I delivered two loaves. I need to show both of them how to make their own bread. Until then, as a very novice sourdough bread maker, I’m enjoying every loaf I make.

    I discovered Sunrise products in December 2020 when I was looking for a better whole wheat flour for my cracked wheat bread. It’s a recipe my mother got from her sister and then passed along to me. I stopped making it for about 15 years, and when I tried it again, I was shocked by how awful it was – like a flavorless brick. It turns out that it must have something to do with how most flour is now milled. Anyway, the flour I received from Sunshine is nothing like that and more than exceeded my expectations, and I’ve never looked back. Not only does my cracked wheat bread turn out well, but all the other types of bread I’ve been baking since COVID hit turn out well and taste so good that I have no plans to use anything else from now on.

    Have loved all of the flours I’ve purchased since discovering sunrise heritage products! For several years after being diagnosed with a gluten intolerance unable to eat so many things .. finding sunrise heritage has been over the top excitement for me as it doesn’t cause any upset stomach, sinus issues or any side affects after consuming! I also have a potato intolerance .. unfortunately SO many products contain potato starch (a cheap filler that is used in soups, many breads, etc that even though they might be gluten free, they contain potato then I’m right back to square one that I need to avoid that product!)
    sunrise heritage is high quality good to the bone products that I recommend everyone try!
    Everything I’ve tried thus far has the best flavor!!

    Love this flour. I buy 25lb bags. I do a lot of baking. If you do too make sure you don’t let yourself get to low as sometimes it is not available in the 25lb bags. When it is available it comes in about 2 days. Very well packaged.

    Love your flour. I’m visiting my daughter in Florida and had this bag sent to her house so that there would be plenty of your flour to bake with. This week I make Molasses cookies, club type rolls and cinnabons from AP and applesauce muffins from your whole wheat flour. Sorry but I forgot to take pictures but everything turned out wonderful.
    My only complaint is with UPS. They badly mistreated the box so that it was almost torn open on 3 sides. Thank goodness the bag of flour was not damaged.
    I will continue to recommend your flour as it is the best.

    I will buy the same organic heritage type flour though azure if I can- half the price or less but you have to find where they have drop offs or enough people to become a drop off

    I love your flour because it allows me to bake or cook for the family and not worrying about my granddaughter. She began to exhibit gluten issues when she was 3 years old. My daughter had to work to discover what was causing her distended stomach and pain after having desserts or bread products from other family members.     I have been gluten free for six years. We discovered that gluten was causing my migraine headaches. I had heard that some who were gluten sensitive could eat this flour and had less problems. We made coffee cake, cinnamon buns and bread rolls using this flour. I have eaten all of these and not had a single headache. I’m not allergic to gluten after all but the processing of the flour and the fact that most flour is GMO’d. I am beyond thrilled to be able to bake again and enjoy what I’ve made without being sick.

    I like many of the others who have posted comments have a gluten intolerance. I have been very pleased that the experience I have using Sunrise flour has made a huge difference in digesting flour. Also when I order products they come very quickly. It is so much fun to eat things guilt and pain free. I am however having to learn to bake now LOL, due to my problems with flour I had not baked for over 20 years. It is a learning curve for me. Great Challenge. I have tried all of the pastas, Got the sour dough bread making kit, but have not made bread yet. Will try that tomorrow after my sour dough starter finishes today…. YAY. Love it all.
