About Heritage White Flour
This white flour is milled from organic Turkey Red Heritage Wheat Berries. It is a fine, naturally dazzling white all-purpose flour. The color comes from the natural white color of the wheat's endosperm, not from bleaching making this a naturally unbleached flour. Because this is a heritage wheat, it contains a type of gluten that many people with gluten intolerance find to be more digestible. You won’t believe how silky soft and smooth this all-purpose flour is and how easy it is to bake with. It works exceptionally well for everything – bread, pastries, cookies, cakes, pie crust, pasta, pizza crust – a truly all-purpose flour.
Many people with gluten intolerance find our heritage all-purpose flour more digestible than flours made with modern hybridized wheat.

What is Heritage wheat?
Heritage wheat was the predominant wheat grown in America up until the 1950’s. Many people find it more digestible than modern wheat. Its long deep root system allowed it to survive the Dust Bowl, and gave the Midwest its famous nickname “The Bread Basket”. Heritage wheat was a staple in every household. The history of it can be tracked to biblical times and has been responsible for nourishing generations. It was grown before the introduction of intensive scientific plant breeding.This wheat is experiencing a resurgence.

Your subscription will automatically renew on a recurring basis at which time your credit card will be charged automatically for the subscription products until you cancel your subscription. Taxes and shipping fees may apply. You may cancel your subscription at any time, before your order ships, from the Subscriptions section of your account.
How to create a subscription
Simply find the products you want to order on subscription and select "Subscribe and save", then choose the frequency for delivery 30 days, 60 days, 90 days or 120 days. Finally add the product to your cart and proceed to checkout. You can add as many products as you like to your subscription.

Fabulous flour!
It is different then the typical white flour, but it's delicious all the same. I make 2 loaves each time. One regular and one Heritage. After strengthening both starters, I've had more success with the Heritage. It did need to be stronger in order to work better. I love this flour so much and will continue to use it.
This is the best flour for baking or mixing it in to any dish, it always comes out perfect.
Sunrise Heritage white flour for baking
I’ve been using Sunrise Heritage white flour for all of my cookie and cake baking for the past month. This has been in tandem with sour dough discard (also from Sunrise). The texture and flavor of the finished product are consistently great. I intend on continuing this practice, no longer buying processed grocery store flour.
Delicious Bread
We've made our own bread 30 plus years. Flour has lost it's flavor and nutrients from the stores. But we lovec this flour. It smells great and my stomach is happy with digesting it.

The flour is great to bake with. I feel I am eating healthier with this flour because of the care and attention Sunrise pays to the growing and processing of their flours. It is almost like eating the bake goods in Europe. One important factor for me is that I always have a physical reaction to regular store bought unbleached flour, but I DO NOT have a reaction when I eat the bake goods I make with Heritage White Flour.
I've rediscovered baking!
I've rediscovered my love of baking! When I was diagnosed last year with gluten intolerance, baked goods just weren't as good anymore. The science wasn't the same. I can eat this flour with no gluten issues! No bloat, no upset stomach. So glad I gave it a try. Now I recommend it to all of my gluten intolerant friends!

Worth the extra $!
I make simple yeast Amish sandwich bread. I DID buy the nicer flour at the grocery store thinking THAT was key. Oh no. THIS flour exceeded all my expectations. It's pricey so I keep my SFM stock separate for fancier baking. But I will definitely start planning & budgeting ahead to keep SFM stocked in my pantry.
Bread Flour in a Bread Machine
Never made bread before. It couldnt have been easier with the bread flour and a bread machine. The quality and tast was great. Would highly recommend the bread flour and if you want it easy try it in a bread machine.
LUV Sunrise Heritage White Flour
I make Sunrise sourdough Ciabattas use Sunrise white sourdough starter named, Walter White. The bread is amazing and recommend SUNRISE to so many friends who have lower track issues. I bought a small 3 qt. instant pot just for this recipe which is made at least every two weeks. Neighbors and friends request them constantly.
