About Heritage Whole Wheat Flour
Our Heritage Whole Wheat Flour is milled from organic heritage Turkey Red wheat. It is milled in a proprietary Unifine high-velocity impact milling system, rather than a stone mill. This produces a super-fine, highly nutritious, 100% whole grain flour. Our Unifine mill produces the finest whole wheat flour on the market. The bran pieces are smaller than those in conventional whole wheat flour. This super-fine grind creates loftier baked goods with greater volume than would be expected from a traditional whole wheat flour. Adding some organic whole wheat flour to bread and other baked goods will have people wondering why they have so much flavor. Use our Organic Whole Wheat Flour for: bread, rolls, pancakes, muffins, and cookies; and in any recipe calling for whole wheat flour.

What is Heritage wheat?
Heritage wheat was the predominant wheat grown in America up until the 1950’s. Many people find it more digestible than modern wheat. Its long deep root system allowed it to survive the Dust Bowl, and gave the Midwest its famous nickname “The Bread Basket”. Heritage wheat was a staple in every household. The history of it can be tracked to biblical times and has been responsible for nourishing generations. It was grown before the introduction of intensive scientific plant breeding.This wheat is experiencing a resurgence.

How to create a subscription
Simply find the products you want to order on subscription and select "Subscribe and save", then choose the frequency for delivery 30 days, 60 days, 90 days or 120 days. Finally add the product to your cart and proceed to checkout. You can add as many products as you like to your subscription.

LUV LUV Sunrise Wheat Flour
Sunrise Wheat flour is amazing. Make Sourdough starter from Sunrise, named George. The Sourdough wheat tortillas are wonderful. I have found it easier to roll out the tortillas using freezer paper and the tortilla press then using extra flour and parchment paper. Also if you microwave a tortilla for 45 seconds, the Sunrise wheat tortillas are awesome chips.

Using various flours satisfactorily
I am diagnosed as having celiac disease and have been so discouraged trying to bake with G. F. Flours from the supermarkets. I have made bread twice, cookies and various recipes, using bread flour, Heritage white flour and w.w. Flour and have had no problems digesting the end results. I am so happy with the flours.
